Description
There’s an art to writing an excellent artist bio. The first line is the most important. It hooks your reader. An artist’s biography delivers a third-person account of your career as an artist.
Artist Bio Writing Service Expectations
My process begins by learning everything I can about your art and your art career.
I review your:
- Art.
- Website.
- Previous material (resume. past artist bio’s and artist statements, press clippings).
As well, I conduct a short artist interview, either by Skype (preferred), Facetime, phone* or email.
Service Process
Step One – Task Instruction Form
After your purchase, I review the uploaded material and links. You will also receive an email from within 36 hours to organize a short artist interview.
Step Two – Artist Interview
The short artist interview covers:
- Your art history.
- How you became an artist.
- Your education.
- Your experience.
- Art Style.
- Motivations.
- Influences.
- Medium.
- Techniques.
- Discoveries.
During our discussions I also confirm:
- The purpose of your bio.
- Word length.
- Voice.
- The version of English: UK, Australian, USA, Canada or New Zealand.
Step Three – I write your bio
With all the information I’ve gathered, I write your biography of up to 300 words in third-person.
Step Four – I send you a draft
Delivery of the draft is either by download or email, ten working days after the interview. The draft document is in MS Word Format or Text format.
Step Five – You review the draft
You send back the draft and explain where you want changes and corrections. If necessary, we can organize a follow-up discussion.
Please note that additional amendments based on word preference and not errors may incur an extra fee. So, make sure you communicate all the changes clearly after you receive your first draft.
If you’re happy with the bio, we can skip this step and go straight to step six.
Step Six – We complete your bio
Once completed, the artist biography is yours. You own the copyright.
